One track, one year, one timeline

You know every word. But when did it come out?

One phone stays in the middle of the table and shows a QR code. Someone scans it with another phone and the music starts. Your team listens, argues, then slots the track into its timeline, before or after the ones it already has.

Everyone knows the chorus. Nobody knows the year.

The hearago home screen on a phone.

One turn

Scan, place, see the year.

Whoever scans the QR code is the DJ for that track. They can see the title, so they sit the turn out. Everyone else listens and decides.

  1. The QR code screen in hearago.1

    Scan

The phone on the table shows a QR code. The DJ scans it with their own phone and the track opens in their music app.

  2. The screen where a team picks a spot for the track in its timeline.2

    Place

The team slots the track before or after the ones in its timeline. Every team starts with one track already dated.

  3. The “Right” verdict after a well-placed track.3

    Check

The year appears. If the track is in the right spot it stays and scores a point, plus one for the title and one for the artist. If not, it goes.

The timeline

You don’t need the exact year.

You only need to know whether the track came out before or after the ones your team has already placed. The longer the timeline gets, the tighter the gaps, and the louder the table.
